Small Tattoo - Which Should You Get?
By Steve J Carter
So, you've seen some small tattoo and decide you want? Although only a small part of a big decision! This will be with you for the rest of your life so you need to make sure that you choose the right one for you, let us quickly look at the various things to consider:
Well obviously this is one of the most important choice! If you have entered into a tattoo shop, then you have seen their design choices and may find a load that you like. If you like the design but do not like where you can now find thousands of online design that you can print off and the time required for each artist who will do it for you.
You have to think about what would represent, there are so many different choices, heart, angel, skull, probably recall a small tattoo around 1-3,5 inch size so you should not be too complicated.
Always sleep on your decision, take it from someone who must have one of their closed high tattoo, you need to sleep on it, so you do not make choices that are in a hurry!
Ok, so you must choose your design, you sure about that, now what is even more important decision than the design? Artists who would do of course!
You know I've covered the tattoo - a bad artist! Do not ever think that they are all equal, buy a tattoo magazine and find someone close to you who think well, look online for reviews, not only into the living room because some people may not be in business!
Bad artist will make it more painful than necessary, they will not be enough in so that the ink out and they would have no drawing skills are very good so that lines and shapes of all defects, which is worse than no tattoos!
Get recommendations, see the examples of the work, if in doubt for the trip to see an artist who has won awards in other cities from one of the magazines you buy (if you do not have one near you that). You will regret it for a long time if you choose a bad artist.
Now you have the design and competent artist, but where you can finish it? That depends entirely on you. From experience I would say anywhere as to avoid too thin can hurt, but otherwise it's up to you!
Most employers do not like to see a tattoo - so if you work in an office trying to not have one in the neck or arms, but otherwise it anywhere and should feel is best for you, ask around people you know who has one for example -examples of where they were made so that you can get the small tattoo idea.

The problem with attempting to find the coolest tattoo design, is that so many people want so many different designs. I actually went through the trouble of calling several tattoo shops in the city closest to me. The three most popular tattoo designs lately, tend to be flowers for women, and skulls for men. When it came to tattoos that both men and women are getting, celestial stars and tribal designs won over the others. Now, as I say this next bit, I truly mean no serious offense to the ladies who have gotten lower back tattoos, but, as I searched through the yellow pages and asked several tattooists my questions
I did have an enlightening moment. After asking where most women are getting tattoos, the artist told me with a snicker, "On their lower backs." Have you ever been able to "hear" a smile on someone's face, when talking to that someone on the phone? Upon prodding him about what was so humorous, he answered, "Well, we call them something else?" Curious, I asked, "What is that?" His answer was, "We call them Tramp Stamps when we do lower back tattoos!" As I said before, I have nothing against women with such tattoos, but I really felt the need to share that tidbit! As for the men, upper arm (shoulder) and back tattoos (usually over the shoulder blade area) still seem to be the preference. (Sorry ladies, they don't have cool names for those body parts on guys!)
By far, one of the neatest tattoos I had ever seen was the size of a fly. No really, it WAS a fly! Some guy got the idea to tattoo a fly on his arm - just between the elbow and the wrist area. I happened to notice it as I was talking to him one day, because he was leaning on his arms - palms flat on the table, and his tattoo facing me. I looked down at his arm, and noticed a fly resting on it. I - being a nice person - tried to brush the offending insect away. to my surprised, it stayed. He looked down, and began to laugh. "It's a tattoo honey," he grinned, winking at me. The artwork was astounding! There was such minute detail in the entire tattoo, even for as small as it was. Well, a fly is not really my style, but if I had to choose between that, or a Tramp Stamp... hold on, let me get my husband's opinion!

Laser Tattoo Removal Process
By Patty Hahne
There are millions of people in the world today with a tattoo. Unfortunately, there are also millions of people who wish they did not get a tattoo in the first place. Maybe it's bad or do they reflect the message that they no longer wish to convey to the world. Regardless of their reasons for wanting a tattoo removed, they want to go.
The most popular method of laser tattoo removal therapy. Before you decide to undergo treatment there are some important things you should know.
1. Laser Tattoo Removal expensive. Costs can range from several hundred dollars to several thousand dollars. Actually there is no way to know exactly how much the whole process will be charged for some tattoo requires several sessions and some need a lot. You will be charged by the session and not a tattoo.
2. Laser Tattoo Removal painful. Having a tattoo is applied is painful, but those who have undergone laser surgery procedure claim that it is more painful than getting a tattoo.
3. Color tattoo is much more difficult to remove than the black tattoo. This will be more expensive and time consuming to have been removed.
4. There is always a risk of infection with this procedure.
5. There is also a risk that after completion of therapy, you may be left with scarring.
6. There is also a risk that the end result will leave your skin lighter or darker in the tattoo area.
If you know the risks and still choose to have the procedure, you need to know about the procedure itself. You should only go to a licensed physician who is experienced in laser tattoo removal. You do not want a doctor to learn the trade on your body.
To remove the tattoos, the short bursts of laser light is pulsed into the skin. Light travels through the top layer of skin and fragments the ink into small particles that can be naturally absorbed by the body's immune system. Your body usually takes about three weeks to flush your system of these ink particles. This is why the follow-up visits are usually scheduled within three to four week intervals.
Because black ink is absorbed by the color of light is the easiest to target with a laser. Other colors will require more specialized lasers. Ensure that the laser surgeon that you see is fully prepared to deal with colored ink.
To reduce the pain, many patients have a topical anesthetic applied to the areas that will be held on therapy before the actual procedure. Others have the option of using a local anesthetic. Those who have had the procedure report that it was a bit like a splash of hot oil into your skin.
Actual session is very short so it should be a little reassuring. You will not survive an hour of torture.
After the session, the doctor will just treat wounds with antiseptic ointment to help prevent infection. Special precautions must be taken to avoid the infected area. A scab may form over the treated area. Scabs is the nature of band aids. Do not peel scabs or your risk of scarring will be significantly higher.
After the area has healed, you will return to the doctor to go through the whole process again. After many sessions, you have to tattoo to go. You can not get your hopes up and expect to be like a virgin area, flawless skin. Possible skin fits perfectly with your whole body low enough. Nothing less, the tattoo will disappear and you can continue with your life.
But I will warn you that you might want to think long and hard before your next boyfriends name tattooed on your body.

The Lower Back Tattoo Backlash
That's right it became to popular too fast to put some tribal ink on your lower back area right above the waistline of your pants. Just about any guy will agree it is a very sensual area and the whole low rise jeans and shorter tops just fueled this trend over the last 5 to 10 years. Yet as mentioned above there has been some backlash. These have been called tramp stamps or a California License plate. Some have even gone as far as calling them butt antlers. Most tattoo artists are pretty sick of tattooing women in this area. Of course they tattoo for a living and they will do that tattoo if you pay but they have done these tattoos so much they are getting tired of it also.
So does this mean there is no way you should even think about getting a lower back tattoo? Some people might say so. The decision really has to be made by you. If you are still wanting to get a lower back tattoo because you always wanted one or you have some design already in your mind that works perfectly there then you should go for it. That is the thing about tattoos you should never let what other people think hold you back from the tattoo you want. Here are some things to consider to help you get a great lower back tattoo design.
Size And Shape
A really important aspect of the lower back tattoo is the size and shape of the design and fitting it perfectly with the size and shape of the area where the tattoo will go. Rectangular tattoos that are longer then tall work very well in this area and also ones with sort of a triangle shape to them that make an arrow pointing downwards tend to fill this space best.
What Not To Get
Of course the choice is up to you and you should always get that tattoo that you want and not because someone else thinks you should or shouldn't get it. However you might want to stay away from simple tribal designs and also butterflies. Butterflies and tribal designs are still very popular and can look great however you might shy away from putting them on your lower back. Instead pick the front hip area, a shoulder or foot to do these designs on.
What To Get
Instead of doing the butterfly and tribal designs instead try and think of something different and unique. Maybe some koi fish splashing in the water. A cherry blossom would work very well in this area also. Cute feminine themes like hello kitty or even a cute feminine sugar skull might work really well. The choice of course has to be up to you but the idea here is to stay away from the old tribal design and do something different. Take a design and do something completely different with the colors. A pair of brass knuckles with some flower around it would work. There are so many ideas and it truly depends on what you want to express about yourself. Try and find something that is different and unique about you and a design that speaks to you.
Decision to have a lower back tattoo must be done after a deep thought as most tattoos can be permanently etched to the body, leaving little room for changes. Having the image of someone you love or someone you admire may be a false choice because when you fall out of these false perceptions, it will remain engraved in your body for a long time. The choice of the pattern speaks volume of the type of person you are. There are many patterns made available today that carry a wealth of meaning attached to it. A lotus, for example, represents wealth and fertility. The bloom that sinks at night to re-emerge the next day symbolizes creation. An eagle, on the other hand, depicts the decision to soar high without the fear blocking your movement forward. Animals are considered an emblem of fertility and vitality in the Celtic and Welsh mythology. Having a lion on the lower back connotes the courage and pride of the person.
A lower back tattoo is made oblong in shape to highlight the beautiful curves and the hourglass figure of the person sporting it. It is done on the sides of the spine and can spread to the hips stressing out on the sensuality of the individual. By and large these lower back tattoos are seen in women who try to draw the attention to it by wearing midriff baring costumes.
There are a number of designs to choose from ranging from Celtic patterns to floral, Kanji, heart shape, sun, wing, butterfly and many more. Having decided on the pattern, one must seek the help of a professional who is capable of recreating the image you wish to have and uses sterile equipment. A clean atmosphere and sterile equipment can drive away the danger of developing infections later on. Once done, care must be taken to avoid figure hugging dresses until it gets completely lodged into the body.
Today lower back tattoos are one of the most popular tattoos done on women.

However, this trend seems to have changed recently with more and more people choosing a tattoo design of a specific body part. This demonstrates increased humble tattoo at the top of fashion. But when you want to get a tattoo in a particular body part that is good to remember that not all body parts are equal. That is the skin of every part of your body is different and depending on the thickness and smoothness of the skin, the ink creates a different effect on different parts. For example, the tattoos on the body part with a wrinkled skin like elbows, ankles, knees, will vanish. Also the lines created in this part have a tendency to spread. Having said that favorite body parts for tribal design tattoo are:
1. Lower back tattoos: This is considered a very sensitive point for getting a tattoo. It adds an attractive woman's sensuality and mysticism, because the tattoo is only for the eyes of a loving and hidden from the world. Many women, whom I have seen first hand, have scoured the internet, trying to get a great flower Hawaiian tattoo design and have come up just about empty in their search. Don't worry, though. This is perfectly normal and I will show you a simple way to find them, because they are out there, you just haven't found them yet. I will also say a few things about the great background and history of this great Hawaiian design.
The first step to find good artwork is to not settle on a Google search. You also should net look for the good stuff on random, cookie-cutter tat websites. The simple way to find awesome websites is to look through internet forums. Yes, forums. You will not believe the great information you will find here. Remember, women love to brag to other people when they find a great website or a hidden treasure and there is no better way to do it than on a forum.
Another thing I want to tell you has to do with the great background of the design. Most styles change with the times, but this style tends to stay the same, which is a very good thing. They seem to be timeless pieces of art that stand the test of time. You may not know this, but the Hawaiian tattoos in question in this form of art is a Hibiscus. It is a gorgeous flower that can come in a wide variety of colors. It represents purity and a tight connection with nature and the entire nature world.
The amazing island vibe of a flower Hawaiian tattoo is very peaceful and always makes a great choice for a female. While there is a lot of wonder styles out there within this art form, you should not settle for the first thing that you see. The reason behind this is that at a lot of the cookie-cutter tat websites, they might have great art, but some of them were not really drawn to be implemented as a tattoo. While the designs might look good on paper or your computer screen, there is s chance that they will not look good once implemented as a tattoo. Your best bet is to pick four to five of your favorite flower Hawaiian designs and bring them to an artist that you trust. He or she can then tailor it to fit your body.
As a female, you want your tattoos to stand out in a crowd and be an original art piece. Finding the perfect flower Hawaiian tattoo does not have to be hard anymore, and as a female, this information will help you out in your search for the right design
Polynesian Tattoo Designs - What You Need to Know
By Scott T Hastings
There are thousands of tattoo designs to choose from on websites and in catalogs. Tattoos in general are becoming more popular these days and it is Polynesian tribal designs that are becoming more frequent.
You must understand that there are two distinct styles when is comes to Polynesian tattoo . The first one is called Etna. Etna have a spiritual and religious significance for them. They are also magic symbols protecting against the gods. While Enata other style can be described as physical models that describe the person, there is identity and status. This includes their social, island of origin, occupation and history.
Symbols in Polynesian tattoo designs and their meanings are as follows --
* Shark teeth - Tattoos shark teeth are protected.
* Turtles - A symbol of the tortoise represents longevity and fertility.
* Shells - shells are a symbol of prosperity for the Polynesian people and they may have been used as the primary form of currency.
* Sharks - The shark itself is considered sacred. Polynesian shark tattoos are used as a symbol of protection against threats.
* Gecko - It is believed that the gecko has supernatural powers and are feared, but also held in check by the Polynesians. It is also believed that if a green gecko laughs when he is a terrible omen of misfortune and disease.
* Tiki - The Tiki God is often depicted with eyes closed. Because Tiki is able to smell trouble before it is seen.
The people of the Polynesian islands are spread everywhere. They include Cook Islands, Samoa, Tonga, Easter Island, Tahiti, French Polynesia and even Hawaii. People across these islands developed there own distinct cultures over thousands of years. But what is fascinating is the similarity of cultures that have developed primarily in the practice of tattoo art. However tattoo Polynesian today does not mean in this day and age that people love to design rather than magical protection or tax status.

For a woman getting a tattoo, it is very important for her to decide on the location where she wants to get that tattoo. The most popular location has been the lower back for a sexy, flirtatious tattoo. But lately the lower back tattoos have been associated with pejoratives such as "tramp stamp" or "slag tags".
The other really sensuous location for a feminine tattoo is the lower abdomen or around the belly button. But this tattoo would only look good if you have a nice flat stomach moreover you should also consider that this tattoo will completely lose its shape and look really bad if you get pregnant or put on significant weight.
Foot tattoo has also become very popular recently. But the dilemma with the foot tattoo is that it can't be flaunted at will, moreover the foot is not the first thing one notices about someone you meet, so most of the time this tattoo goes ignored. Should blade tattoos are catching in popularity. These tattoos can be easily flaunted and can make the back of the women look more titillating. Other tattoo locations ideal for women are hips, arms or thighs.
Women generally are far more particular about picking the right tattoo design than men. They generally do lot more research into the kind of tattoo they need and usually go for custom tattoo designs. There are certain tattoo designs that are distinctly feminine such as angels, fairies, butterflies, stars, floral, tribal, mermaids, Celtic, dolphins, etc. But it is best not to select a cookie cutter type of design, but to carefully select a custom design on these lines. Also it takes some thinking to match the design with its right location. A butterfly tattoo for example might look really good on the lower back but it might not look that great on the foot, likewise fairy tattoos may not look good on the lower back.
Another point to consider regarding the design is the color of the tattoo. Brightly colored tattoos generally look more alluring than darker tattoos. But some designs such as tribal, Aztec need to be done only in black. Also smaller tattoos generally look cuter on women than larger, flagrant ones.
Picking a tattoo requires careful consideration as it is something permanent. There are quite a few quality tattoo galleries on the internet. Get a membership to one of these sites and carefully research the tattoos there to pick something that will match your personality and style and will increase your sex appeal.
